BHE is a family business with strong values at its heart. We know that many members of our team and their families have been affected by cancer in some way and, with plenty of our customers based in the Lake District as well, we didn’t need to think twice about supporting Macmillan’s Lake District Mighty Hike.
BHE supports Macmillan’s Mighty Hike 2019
Business Development Manager Lindsay O’Malley, based at Head Office in Bolton, took part in the marathon-length walk on 13th July 2019. Taking in 26 miles of the beautiful Lake District scenery around Ullswater, Lindsay set off at 7.10am and walked for a total of 12 hours and 45 minutes, raising a sizeable sum for Macmillan. BHE is pleased to have sponsored Lindsay on the walk.
Macmillan is a charity providing physical, financial and emotional support to help those with cancer and their families live life as fully as they can. The organisation runs many events throughout the year to encourage interaction, support, fundraising and to raise awareness of its work. Macmillan’s work is a lifeline to many families throughout the UK.
