Fully trained, accredited and qualified engineers work with you, delivering professional gas, plumbing and electrical services including gas boiler installation, servicing and repairs.
All BHE engineers are Gas Safe Registered, and you can ask to see their registration card at any time for reassurance that your home is in safe hands.
Our friendly and helpful Head Office team supports customers and engineers through every job from start to finish. If you need advice or you’ve got a query at any time, you can speak directly to someone who’ll be able to help. No call centres, just advice when you need it!

Ryan
Starting his career as an apprentice gas engineer and plumber, Ryan formed RJ Martindale in 2016 and has since grown the business to a team of 17. Acquiring BHE Services in 2023, Ryan’s driven by delivering unbeatable customer experiences to establish RJ Martindale as a local leader in heating and plumbing. Outside of work, Ryan keeps busy working on his fitness, having fun with his two young sons and looking after cockapoos Ronnie and Ralph.

Popular member of the team, Ralph keeps Head Office running smoothly by offering motivational opportunities for scratches and cuddles, whilst regularly monitoring and quality-assuring our treat stocks. Outside the office, he enjoys long walks with his dad and napping.

Aaron
Learning the ropes from our skilled team, apprentice Aaron is working towards his gas qualifications with RJ Martindale. Assisting Gas Engineers on site with a broad range of heating and plumbing services, Aaron’s hands-on experience will support his future career. When not working on his apprenticeship, keen gamer Aaron takes to the slopes on skiing trips.

Experienced BHE engineer Connor joined RJ Martindale in 2023, bringing 15 years’ knowledge of heating and plumbing to homeowners and holiday home owners in Morecambe, Lancaster and the South Lakes. Connor loves working with customers to deliver the service standards BHE’s known for, before enjoying downtime watching football with his young family.

Daniel
Daniel joined RJ Martindale at just 18 years old as Ryan’s apprentice. Now a fully-qualified plumber, gas and heating engineer and installer for over 10 years, Dan supports our engineering teams to maintain the quality standards RJ Martindale’s known for. Outside of work, Dan’s an active Beaver and Scout leader, enjoying camping and time with his young son.

Edward
Apprentice Edward joined the team in June 2025 and is learning the ropes alongside our experienced plumbers and heating engineers. Studying with Bolton College, local lad Edward will gain great experience in the coming years as he undertakes a wide range of work for our homeowner customers. After hours, Edward enjoys getting out on his motorbike.

Reliable, knowledgeable and multiskilled, Dave is a safe pair of hands, delivering expert plumbing, gas, boiler and central heating services in the local area for over 30 years with attentive service that takes great care of our customers’ homes. When he’s not working, Dave practises yoga, listens to dance music and enjoys family time.

Dylan is an experienced plumber, gas and heating engineer with a great reputation for quality service. Having established his career with BHE, Dylan benefits from excellent understanding of our local customers in Bolton, Bury Wigan, Leigh and Chorley, and is a safe pair of hands when dealing with almost any heating or plumbing problem!

With over 10 years’ experience in the industry, much of which has been with RJ Martindale, Gas Engineer Luke is qualified across all aspects of plumbing, gas, central heating and boiler installation, delivering quality work with exceptional customer service. When not at work, Luke is a football coach for his local U7s team, works on his own fitness and enjoys walks with dog Bertie.

Joining RJ Martindale following our acquisition of BHE, Matt brings over 25 years’ experience in plumbing, heating, gas and boiler care to our servicing team across Bolton, Wigan, Leigh and the local area. Matt gets back to nature in his own time, often heading out on camping trips with his son.

Pete
Gas Engineer Pete has more than 30 years’ experience in plumbing and heating, caring for thousands of homeowners and properties with boiler servicing, repairs, installation and household plumbing. Sports fan Pete enjoys watching rugby and football outside of work, as well as listening to a wide range of music.

Scott
With over 20 years’ experience, Scott heads up our boiler installation services, fitting new boilers and heating systems of all sizes, makes and models. As his apprentice, Ryan learned the ropes from Scott and it’s great to still work together! When he’s not on an installation job, Scott enjoys golf, football and family time.

Theo
It’s great to grow our own talent, with Gas Engineer Theo a new addition to our servicing team following completion of his apprenticeship with RJ Martindale. Working alongside our experienced teams, Theo delivers professional services to our customers across the North West. He keeps busy outside of work with mixed martial arts.

Warren
One of our most experienced engineers, Warren’s worked in gas, heating and plumbing for over 30 years, much of which was with BHE. A Gas Engineer with tons of knowledge, Warren supports the wider team with Health & Safety compliance. Rugby fan Warren also enjoys holidaying with his family outside of work.
Office Manager
Joanne
Joanne joined RJ Martindale in 2020 to manage the company’s new office space in Horwich. Looking after customers, our engineers’ schedules and running a smooth ship, Joanne’s an experienced administrator and a great multitasker! When she’s not in the office, Joanne enjoys cooking, looking after her garden and fitness.

Kathryn
Joining RJ Martindale in 2023 with the BHE acquisition, Kathryn is now responsible for managing her team’s customers, quoting and engineer schedules to deliver great work and fantastic customer experiences. Friendly, helpful and ambitious, Kathryn also enjoys downtime with her family, her dog Freddie and bearded dragon Jeff.

Sue
Sue’s worked in accounts throughout her career, keeping quotes, invoices and payments under careful control with meticulous attention to detail. Always ready to support the team or our customers with finance-related queries when needed, Sue practises yoga outside of work, enjoys a weekend break, and heads out for walks with dog Boris.
Customer Support
Louise
An RJ Martindale team member since 2023, Louise previously worked with BHE and is now responsible for her own team, taking care of work schedules, customers and quoting to keep customer service standards high. Outside the office, Louise spends time with dog Len, keeps up with her fitness and relaxes in the kitchen.
