With only 16% of autistic people in full-time employment, awareness, understanding and acceptance needs to improve in all industries throughout the country and worldwide to provide much-needed opportunities where those with autism can thrive.

About World Autism Awareness Week

World Autism Awareness Week, run by the National Autistic Society, runs in the same week as the internationally-recognised World Autism Awareness Day on 2^nd April.

Events taking place during the week help to raise vital funds to support the Society’s work in the UK, and include anything from sponsored walks, runs, swims and cycles to bake sales and more!

The National Autistic Society’s website contains helpful information and resources, including learning resources for schools and the free workplace pack above, which contains guidance on how to make your workplace more open and accessible to those with autism.
