What is a power flush?
A power flush is one of a number of ways to ensure your central heating system is operating at its most efficient and that you’re not wasting money when heating your home.
A power flush is carried out by connecting the power flush unit to your central heating system and water. A chemical flushing agent is then pumped at high pressure around your whole central heating system, cleaning out sludge and debris from the radiators and boiler.
Once this process is complete, clean water is reintroduced into the central heating system to restore it to its maximum efficiency.
At this stage we also add chemicals, called inhibitors, to the system, which protect it from corrosion and slow down any return to inefficiency.
How can BHE help you to power flush your central heating?
A thorough power flush can take several hours to complete, but BHE has experienced engineers who carry out this work regularly and with minimal disruption.
If you don’t already have one, we can also fit a new magnetic filter on your system which will protect the system by collecting future debris in the chamber and which can be cleaned out as part of your annual service.
We fit Magnaclean filters: the industry-leading filter to guarantee the highest standard of service.
