Ince CE Primary School has recently been rewarded with its first Green Flag, recognising the hard work and efforts of staff and children in making the school more eco-aware.
How they did it
Ince CE Primary took part in many different activities, put in place new incentives and got the children involved in:
- Recycling paper, plastic and green waste
- Community litter picks
- Observing Earth hour, with all laptops and smart boards powered down and lights turned off for 60 minutes
- Learning about the environment during lessons
- Helping Year 2 children to grow peas and strawberries outside
- Establishing an Eco Warriors Group to discuss green schemes with students and staff alike
What’s next for our Eco Warriors?
Not only has Ince CE Primary received one Green Flag, the school is now striving for a second by getting all the children and staff involved in even more green schemes and projects. BHE services will be supporting them all the way!
